April 3: Welcome Back Open
We are kicking off the season with our traditional Welcome Back Four Man-2-Best Ball Stroke Play Event.
Everyone is welcome - Members and Prospective Members! Space is limited to 52 players.
This is our kick-off event to get the rust off of our swings and meet new members! Invite a friend, as this event is a great chance for new people to meet Willows Men’s Club members and play in an event. The goal of this event is to meet new members, and kick off the golf season.

Tournament Info
Handicap: Players must have an active (paid) GHIN membership. Players without an established handicap will be assigned one based on recent scores. Contact the Willows Run Pro Shop at 425-883-1200 if you need to register or activate a GHIN Handicap.
Note: WMC does not administer or manage GHIN memberships - you must contact the Pro Shop if you have questions about your GHIN membership or activation.
Format: Each player plays their own ball on each hole. The two "Best Ball" net scores from each hole across the four players in your team are combined to form the team score. Teams will be formed by the Tournament Committee in advance to best balance team handicap and help new people meet current club members. Expect not to be on the same team as your friends and guests for this event.
Rules: Normal stroke play rules. All local rules apply. See the Local Rules link at the top of the home page.
COVID-19 RULES STILL APPLY!
- Flagstick must remain in cup at all times. Do not touch the flagstick.
- Bunkers will not have rakes. Use your foot to smooth over a bunker when you leave it. If your ball is in a disturbed area left by a prior golfer's feet or club, lift, smooth with your foot (no hands!) and place your ball.

By signing up for this event, i acknowlege that all credit in the Willows Run Pro Shop won thorough Willows Men's Club Events will expire on April 30, 2022.
Tee Times:
- Tee times will start at 9:00 am.
- You will be notified of your Team #, playing partners and assigned tee time in advance via email or on the Golf Genius site.
Scorecards
- Each person will have a paper scorecard.
- Exchange scorecards with wone of your fourseom and keep each others scores. Keep your own scores on the Marker row.
- Sign both cards when the round is complete.
- Turn in cards to the Tournament Director's table in the Fire Creek Tent after the round. Stop in and have a beverage too.
How to Register for the Welcome Back Open
There are three possible registration scenarios:

Scenario 1: If you are already registered for "Weekend Majors and Other Events 2021" (from last year), you just need to click the Sign Up button either on the left side of this page on a PC/Mac or in the "Round Signup" page in the Phone App. You will need to be signed in with your email name and password!
- On a Computer: Sign in using the "Sign In" link at the top right, If you see gears in the top right, you are signed in. You should then see the event on the left side of the page to sign up.
- On the Mobile Phone App:
- Sign in using your email name and password.
- Click on Member Portal (middle of the page)
- Click on Welcome Back - Sign Up Info
- IMPORTANT Click on the Round Signup and follow the instructions. This is what registers you for the Welcome Back.

Scenario 2: If you are a past member or if you have already requested membership this year, then you should be in our Master Roster already. Follow ALL of the below steps to completely register for the Welcome Back event.
Phone App
- Download the Golf Genius phone app if you have not done so yet.
- Sign in using your email name and password.
- Click on Member Portal (middle of the page)
- Click on Welcome Back - Sign Up Info
- Click on Event Registration, scroll to the bottom and click New Registration. YOU ARE NOT DONE YET!
- Now go back to the Welcome Back - Sign Up Info
- IMPORTANT Click on the Round Signup and follow the instructions. This is what registers you for the Welcome Back.
Computer
- Sign in using the "Sign In" link at the top right, You will see the Gears when you are signed in. You should then see the event on the left side of the page to sign up.
- On the left side of the Home Page, click the green Register Now for Willows Mens Club Majors & Others 2020
- Follow the instructions on that page.
- Go back to the Weekend Majors home page.
- On the left side of the Weekend Majors home page Click "Please Select" to select name.
- Start typing your name and it should show up without having to scroll through the entire list.
- Click your name and then "Next" YOU ARE NOT DONE YET!
- Click SIgn Up button.

Scenario 3: If you are a NEW MEMBER, then the first thing to do is send an email to willowsmensclub@hotmail.com:
- Click on this link <Willows Men's Club - Welcome Back Open Request> to open an email template and fill in the info, then click Send in your email app.
- Once you are added to the Master Roster, you will receive an email from Golf Genius to "Continue Registration" for Weekend Majors and Other Events 2021.
- Click on the big Continue Registration button and enter your email, and the temporary password to sign in.
- Now follow the instructions for either Computer or Mobile Phone App in (1) Already Registered" above.

Everyone: You should see a green bar on the Home Screen that says You are signed up and the Calendar Table should show Your Status as Playing.
If you do not see this you have not yet completed registration for the Welcome Back event..
The Tournament Committee reserves the right to alter any of the conditions and schedules herein including a golfer’s Handicap Index. The Committee reserves the right to reject the entry of any applicant, at any time, for any reason. Any decision by the Committee, in any matter, shall be final.
