June 19: Stableford Classic

 

Join us for The June Stableford Classic, June 19 with tee times starting at 11:06 AM on Eagles Talon. 

 

[NEW - 15-Jun] We are playiing a Modified Stableford format.  In our modified Stableford, you earn the following points depending on your score:

-2 for Net Double Bogey (and pick up - this is the max you can post for handicap anyway)

  0 point   for a Net Bogey

  1 points for a Net Par

  3 points for a Net Birdie

  5 points for a Net Eagle

  8 points for a Net Double Eagle or better

 

We will be playing FLIGHTS so you will be competing with similar handicaps.  The points are based on NET scores so watch the strokes (dots) you get on each hole on your scorecard. 

 

Please pick up for a Net Double Bogey - that's the max you can post. 

 

Your score will be posted to GHIN as regular hole scores by the Golf Genius software, but the Tournament Net Payouts will be based on Stableford points. Tee times and pairings will be set automatically.  We will consider specific requests, but please keep them to need - late or early tee times.

Fees: Greens fee will be $56 + tax and Tournament fee will be $15. Pay at the Pro Shop when you check in.

 

By signing up for this event, I acknowlege that all credit in the Willows Run Pro Shop won thorough Willows Men's Club Events will expire on April 30, 2022. Tournament Net Prize and KP will be in Pro Shop Credit.

 

 

Skins: Skins (Optional) will be $10 via Venmo payment to Matt Welle "@welleout".  See the Payment page for more info on how to set up and pay Matt via Venmo in advance. We recommend you pay several days in advance so you don't forget the morning of the event. 

 

Registration: Sign up will open on Monday May 24 at 6:00pm.

 

  • On a full screen computer Web Browser: The sign up button will appear on the left side of the Home page of this portal (Weekend Majors), under the geen "Your Registration for WMC Majors and Other Events 2021" 
  • On mobile phones, Tablets and if you have the browser window too narrow on a PC, it will be at the top of the page between the green button and all this text. 
  • If you are not currently registered for the WMC Majors and Other Events, please follow the instuctions on the home page to register! (The green button will say "Register For..." instead of "Your Registration..." if you are not registered or signed in.)

 

Scorecards and Live Scoring: We will be keeping both paper scorecards and Live Scoring via the Golf Genius app during the event.

  • Each person will have a paper scorecard. 
  • Exchange scorecards with one of your foursome partners and keep each others scores. Keep your own scores on the Marker row.
  • One person in the group enter Live Scoring.
  • Compare the written scorecards to Live Scoring before submitting.
  • Sign both cards when the round is complete.
  • Turn in cards to the Tournament Director's table in the Fire Creek Tent after the round.  Stop in and have a beverage too.

 

Handicap: Players must have an active (paid) GHIN membership.  Players without an established handicap will be assigned one based on recent scores.  Contact the Willows Run Pro Shop at 425-883-1200 if you need to register or activate a GHIN Handicap. 

 

Note: WMC does not administer or manage GHIN memberships - you must contact the Pro Shop if you have questions about your GHIN membership or activation.

 

Format: Each player plays their own ball on each hole. Golf Genius will assign hole by hole points to determine your total score.

 

Rules: Normal stroke play rules. All local rules apply. See the Local Rules link at the top of the home page. 

 

Bunkers now have rakes so please rake after you play a bunker shot.

 

Flagsticks may be removed if you want. 

 

 

Tee Times:

  • Tee times will start at 11:06 am. 
  • You will be notified of your Team #, playing partners and assigned tee time in advance via email or on the Golf Genius site. 

 

 


The Tournament Committee reserves the right to alter any of the conditions and schedules herein including a golfer’s Handicap Index. The Committee reserves the right to reject the entry of any applicant, at any time, for any reason. Any decision by the Committee, in any matter, shall be final.
