August 21-22: Club Championship

 

 

The annual two-day Club Championship is back, Saturday and Sunday August 21 and 22.  You must be able to participate both days to sign up.

 

Tee times:

  • 9:00 am on Saturday, August 21st on Coyote Creek (Blue Tees)  
  • 9:00 am Sunday, August 22nd on Eagle's Talon (White Tees).  (no shotgun start this year due to COVID restrictions)

 

Saturday Pairings will be randomized using automatic pairings in Golf Genius software*.

 

Players will start Sunday in reverse order of Saturday's finish, with the four Gross leaders teeing off last. All of the remaining players will tee off starting with the highest net at 9am and the lowest four net right before the four Gross leaders. 

 

Rules:

All USGA Rules will be in effect.  Willows is playing "Summer Rules" which means play the ball down.  Please review the WMC Local Rules on this site. 

 

Eligibility Requirements

  • (1) You must have an active 2021 Willows Men's Club membership or Senior Membership card  to play in the Willows Men's Club Championship, and
  • (2) You must have played at least 36 holes of golf in WMC events in 2020.  Two weekend majors, four thursdays, two rounds of match play, two thursdays plus one weekend or match round.  Check out the 2021 Results Tracker (Click here)  for total holes played (Note: Results Tracker doesn't include match play holes). 

 

Registration: Sign up will open on Monday July 26 at 6:00pm.  

 

  • On a full screen computer Web Browser: The sign up button will appear on the left side of the Home page of this portal (Weekend Majors), under the geen "Your Registration for WMC Majors and Other Events 2021" 
  • On mobile phones, Tablets and if you have the browser window too narrow on a PC, it will be at the top of the page between the green button and all this text. 

 

If you are not currently registered for the WMC Majors and Other Events, please follow the instuctions on the home page to register! (The green button will say "Register For..." instead of "Your Registration..." if you are not registered or signed in.)

 

Skins Game

Skins will continue to be managed via Venmo payment to Matt Welle "@welleout". $20 one-time payment includes skins for both days.  See the Payment page for more info on how to set up and pay Matt via Venmo in advance.  Don't forget to pay in advance!  You can't decide to pay after making a net eagle on hole 3!

 

Get a hall pass for the weekend, come out and compete before the rain comes and these great course conditions and lovely weather are a thing of the past.  

 

The Tournament Committee reserves the right to alter any of the conditions and schedules herein including a golfer’s Handicap Index. The Committee reserves the right to reject the entry of any applicant, at any time, for any reason. Any decision by the Committee, in any matter, shall be final. 

 

* Pairings may be adjusted to balance pace of play at the tournament director's discretion.
