July 5th Suncadia 36 Hole/One Day Stroke Play Road Trip

 

Sign up now for Willows Men's Club Suncadia Road Trip on Monday, July 5th. We have 40 slots available at 8AM and 1:30PM on Rope Rider & Prospector courses.  This is 36 holes in one day. 

 

At 8am we will send 20 players out on Prospector and 20 players out on Rope Rider. When you're finished, have some lunch and prepare to switch courses to go out at 1:30 on the other course.

 

The price is $164 for 36 holes, including cart and range balls. Pay at Suncadia when you check in.  The public retail rate is $229, but Rick Strellman is a Suncadia member and negotiated the fee on our behalf. We invited 20 players last year and sold out quickly. This year, we were able to double the slots and expect to sell out well in advance, so make a quick decision, as slots won't last long. 

 

Touranment Fee: $30 via Venmo to Matt Welle - please send $30 to @WelleOut, after you have registered for the event.  Please put in a note that this is for Suncadia. 

 

Skins: $10 via Venmo to Matt Welle.  Skins will be an optional game and all players are in for both net and gross, by sending $10 to @WelleOut. 

You can combine the payments into a single $40 payment.

Your $30 tournament fee will go toward the following:  A tournament on Prospector, a tournament on Rope Rider, and 8 closest to the pin contests on all par three holes, broken down as follows:  $26 is split between the two 18 hole games and $4 goes to the KP games @ .50 cents per hole - all in. Flights will be set at 14 for flight 1 and 13 each for flight 2 and 3. All flights will pay 4 places @ 40%, 30%, 20%, and 10% of $520 prize fund per course / game - $1200 prize fund / $1040 for stroke play and $160 for KP games, plus optional skins, as skins pay - $10 in and the pot is paid to any hole where a single low man scores. All payouts are returned via Venmo. 

 

This event is planned so that as many players as possible will finish and meet afterward at the Swiftwater @ Rope Rider, where we will reserve space to "hang" for a bit after the event and figure out winners.

Willows Membership and Participation Requirement

The Suncadia trip requires participants:

(1) have an active 2021 Willows Men's Club membership or senior membership card and

(2) to have played in at least 36 holes of golf at other Willows Mens Club events during current or previous year (2021 or 2020).  This could be four Thursday league 9-hole events, two 18-hole events, two match play rounds, or any combination. Total holes from Majors and 9-hole events played are tracked in the points tracker.

 


The Tournament Committee reserves the right to alter any of the conditions and schedules herein including a golfer’s Handicap Index. The Committee reserves the right to reject the entry of any applicant, at any time, for any reason. Any decision by the Committee, in any matter, shall be final.
